Welcome to Copenhagen and the Expansive Öresund Region.

We are most honoured to invite you to this year´s Pan-European Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, focusing on Environmental and Energy Technology Licensing in Tomorrow´s Society. We will provide prominent speakers, interesting workshops and excellent networking opportunities with international professionals.

The expansive Öresund Region attracts visionaries and entrepreneurs from a wide range of industries. This is the place where many global leaders in the fields of electronics, information technology and life science have started their journey.

The Öresund Bridge, which was completed in 2000, has linked together the most densely populated area of the Nordic region which contains the greatest concentration of people with higher education in northern Europe. Today, its 12 universities and institutes of higher education occupy approximately 150.000 students and 14.000 researchers.

So far, this region has fared relatively well through the global financial crisis, and all indicators point towards a continued positive development where investments in research and innovations in for instance environmental and energy technologies can pave the way for new successful businesses.

If you would like to know more about the culture and history of the Öresund Region, we recommend you to take a closer look at the social program of the conference. You will for instance have the opportunity to visit Tivoli, one of the world´s oldest amusement parks, the medieval university city of Lund, and the beautiful gardens of the Sofiero castle where the former Swedish King, Gustav VI Adolf, spent his summers. Of course we will also arrange a tour across the spectacular Öresund Bridge which connects Denmark and Sweden.
